Deliciously Easy Chicken Taco Casserole: A Crowd-Pleasing Recipe!

The chicken taco casserole is a delicious and easy-to-make dish that combines the flavors of traditional tacos with the convenience of a casserole. Ingredients:

– 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded

– 1 packet taco seasoning

– 1 can black beans, drained and rinsed

– 1 can corn, drained

– 1 cup salsa

– 1 cup sour cream

– 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

– 10 corn tortillas

– Optional toppings: diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, chopped cilantro

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the shredded chicken, taco seasoning, black beans, corn, salsa, and sour cream. Mix well to evenly coat the chicken and vegetables with the seasoning.

3. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with cooking spray or a light coating of oil to prevent sticking.

4. Layer the bottom of the baking dish with 5 corn tortillas, tearing them into smaller pieces to cover the entire surface.

5. Spread half of the chicken and vegetable mixture over the tortillas, making sure to spread it evenly. Top with a layer of shredded cheddar cheese.

6. Repeat the layering process with the remaining tortillas, chicken and vegetable mixture, and cheese. The final layer should be cheese.

7. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 20 minutes.

8. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.

9. Allow the casserole to cool for a few minutes before serving.

10. Serve hot with your favorite toppings, such as diced tomatoes, sliced black olives, and chopped cilantro. Enjoy!
